RECITALS

From recitals with piano to concerts as soloist with orchestra, Carlos Manuel Zabala regularly performs in the most diverse settings and scenarios.
He has been touring several cities of Uruguay playing recitals and teaching since 2000, also performing in Brasil, Argentina, Panamá and the United States since 2006.
He plays equally trumpet and flugelhorn, from the standard repertoire to the most challenging transcriptions and arrangements, from Classical to the Latin American Music as Tango, Bossa Nova and Folk Songs.

THE LATINAMERICAN TRUMPET

Is a project that Carlos Manuel Zabala has been working on for a long time.
Solo pieces with orchestra, band, chamber ensemble or piano, from Latin American origin or in dedication to the Latin American culture, it is the central point of this project.
Carlos Manuel Zabala´s performances include world first auditions of original solo works and transcriptions/arrangements of the most beautiful works from the Latin American Music repertoire.
MASTERCLASSES

Teaching is one of Carlos Manuel Zabala´s favourite activities.
He worked as Professor at the Municipal School of Music of Maldonado (Uruguay), from 2006 to 2011.
He has been invited as professor in several Festivals, Seminars and Workshops. Two of them are Alfredo Saint Malo Music Festival (Panamá) and Sembrando Talentos Uruguay.

FLUGELHORN

The flugelhorn has been always related to popular genres like jazz and bossa nova.
Thanks to great musicians like Sergei Nakariakov, this fantastic instrument has been gaining importance on the classical music scenarios.
Carlos Manuel Zabala´s new transcriptions include mainly baroque and galant works, works originally written for the corno da caccia, bassoon, cello and suckbut.
